Windows and doors, set and flashed by the envelope crew

Units installed or replaced on multifamily and light commercial jobs, tied into the air barrier and trimmed with aluminum wrap.

Window openings flashed on a commercial building

Most wall leaks start at an opening. When one sub sets the window and another wraps the wall, the joint between them belongs to nobody. We set the unit, flash it into the barrier and trim it out with one crew.

We install the units on your submittal, to the manufacturer's instructions.

What's in our scope

  • New construction windows in framed openings
  • Replacement windows
  • Entry doors, patio doors and sliders
  • Sill pans, head flashing and jamb tape
  • Aluminum-wrapped exterior trim
  • Perimeter sealant

How each opening goes in

  • Rough opening checked for size, square and level
  • Sill pan or sloped sill before the unit
  • Unit set, shimmed and fastened to the manufacturer's schedule
  • Jambs and head taped into the barrier, shingle style
  • Trim and sealant after the barrier is closed

Questions GCs ask

Do you supply the windows?

We install the units on your submittal. Tell us at bid time who supplies them and we price the scope that way.

Can you replace windows in occupied buildings?

Yes. We sequence the work by unit and coordinate access with your property manager.

Is trim part of your scope?

Exterior trim around the opening is. Interior trim is not.
