We've done the work in Framingham. Our recent project here was a full siding replacement in James Hardie fiber cement with a shake accent, wrapped up in four business days. The house had the same problems we see all over town: old siding pulling away at the corners and trim that had soaked up water for years.
Framingham's housing runs from postwar capes and ranches off Route 9 to big colonials and multifamily homes near downtown. That mix means you can't run one playbook on every house. Postwar homes often hide original wood or asbestos shingle under a later layer. Multifamily buildings take more wear on trim, stairs and entries. All of them go through the same freeze-thaw, ice and sideways rain every winter.
On that Framingham re-side, we stripped the walls, photographed the sheathing, wrapped in Tyvek with every seam taped, and flashed each window and door before a single board went up. Fastening and clearances followed the Hardie manual. You get the same process on your house, and the same 5-year workmanship warranty. It's an easy drive over from our Auburn shop.
What we see on Framingham houses
- Postwar capes and ranches with layered siding
- Large colonials with rotted corner boards and trim
- Multifamily homes with worn entries, stairs and decks
- Older homes on busy roads collecting dirt and salt spray on lower courses
