Grafton's town common is one of the prettiest in Central Mass, and the homes around it set the tone: older, traditional, with trim and detail that should be respected when you re-side. Farther from the center, you'll find capes, ranches and the larger colonials of newer neighborhoods. The Blackstone River runs through the south end of town, and the villages near it have their own older mill-era housing.
On older Grafton homes, the trouble usually hides at the trim: wood corner boards, window casings and fascia that have soaked up water for years. That's where rot starts. Newer colonials have different problems: builder-grade vinyl, gutters that are too small for a big roof and decks framed with the minimum. Long winters with freeze-thaw find every weak spot either way.
Our crew comes over from Auburn, a short drive east. On a re-side, we wrap fascia and trim in white aluminum, keep soffit vents open and seal corners and returns. On a deck, we check the footings and framing before a single board goes down. The deck we rebuilt in East Otis sits on 17 new sonotube footings. Your free estimate starts with a real look at what's behind the surface.
